Back to the point. I actually used to have one, but somehow it got lost in our move back to the mainland. So there we were having to get our sugar out of the big container that sits on the counter. I don't know about your husband or significant other but mine isn't that coordinated before dawn trying to make his first cup o' joe. I would wake up to sugar all over my counter in front of the coffee pot. I would swipe it away and go about my business, whatevs no big deal.
Until it became a big deal.
It's the little things that get to you, let me tell ya. So I finally ran out of my powdered creamer and figured I would just put sugar in that container until I found a different solution. Just a quick fix ya know? I was tired of the sugar mess on the counter and there was my solution sitting in front of me, or was it? Honestly my creamer sat in the cabinet because its ugly. Why would I want it on my counter holding sugar if I couldn't stand it when it held my creamer?
In steps the Mcgyver half of my brain. MASON JAR! The lids looked about the same size and Mason jars have a nice rustic-y appeal when you use them for things other than canning. So I grab a clean one and the old coffee mate lid and VOILA!! It fits perfectly. At this point I'm grinning ear to ear haha. Like I said, it's the little things, it goes either way.
