Well I came across a Pinterest post last year about how to make a wine bottle tiki torch, tried it, failed miserably. I COULD NOT get it to stay lit to save my life. So in a final act of defeat and over 100 mosquito bites on my legs (you better believe I counted) after a night sitting and talking on the back porch with friends, I gave it the meanest look I could muster and ultimately if I could help it, stayed inside after dusk for the rest of the summer.
I know awful right?
So after I lost half the summer worth of bonfires, Autumn and Winter came and went. Spring was finally in full bloom again. I still obsessed over WHY the tiki torch didnt work. I went over every conceivable explanation in my head and the most logical one was, maybe the lid wasn't tight enough.
So off to the top my my hutch I went to grab one of my bigillion empty glass bottles I keep up there for no reason at all. :) After examining the bottle for like ever, I am finally getting to the whole point of this post, haha.
What You'll Need:
Empty glass bottle with a metal lid
Flat head screwdriver/tip
So grab yourself an empty and CLEAN glass bottle with the original metal lid, like so...
